Centralised support

With our International Key Account Management (IKAM) Team and approach, we can offer our international accounts centralised support and sales services. At the same time, we can rely on our 16 offices worldwide to provide the necessary local attention. With this Global and Local approach, we are confident we can help our cross-border customers achieve excellence and growth. Our IKAM Team has only been operational for three years, but already represents almost 30% of the 90 million euro FIBC turnover.

LC Global on the move

Our youngest entity, LC Packaging Global, has had a very successful year. Centralising our global activities allows us to better serve our worldwide customers. LC Global has expanded its product and market portfolio and now also serves agricultural customers with small bags for onions and potatoes in the US, Canada, Middle East and South America. We have also been active in exciting new markets, such as Russia, Singapore, Maldives and South Korea.

New industries

In the past year, we have been exploring new industries with a variety of products.

To name a few: In the post and parcel market, we extended our customer database with number one players in a number of European countries, as we can deliver cardboard packaging, PP postbags and paper bags, and of course, jute bags (the old fashion way).

In the Netherlands, we have become an important supplier of flower collars. 'Specialised' collars are especially popular: double-sided printed and high-end artwork.

In Africa, in the DRC to be precise, we have become an important player in the cobalt market, providing UN-certified FIBC bags and offering a local presence solution. 

Milestone: Over

2000 containers

On Wednesday, 26 December, our 2000th container left Chittagong harbour in Bangladesh for Antwerp harbour. A beautiful milestone in the history of LC Packaging! The number of containers we ship annually has been increasing steadily. From 1,275 containers in 2013 to 2,138 in 2018 – a 20% increase compared to 2017. LC Packaging delivers packaging all over the world via 239 unique shipping routes.
