LC Packaging CARDBOARD
New division
An important change in 2015 was the renaming and rebranding of our corporate identity. Besides LC Packaging AGRI and LC Packaging FIBC, we highlighted our board division by officially naming it LC Packaging CARDBOARD.
With our own cardboard production locations in Hungary and in Belgium (Pacapime), dedicated long-term production partners and ten box-erecting stations in Europe, we can no longer deny that LC is a major player in the market for corrugated board. Both in the Industry and the Agri Sector, we serve a wide variety of customers and we are proud to do so! In 2015, our shareholder Pacapime Kft established a brand new cardboard logistics centre in Morahalom, Hungary: The icing on the cake.

Why LC Packaging
“First of all, of course, I wanted to live closer to my family. Secondly, I was seeking to join an international company in the packaging world. When the opportunity came up, “strong family company with probably the best name in the market regarding the quality, international presence… ” Naturally, I could just not say no.”
Focus areas as Country Manager
“So far France has performed very well! On a human level, I would like to create a real group-oriented work environment (a family), where everyone is a part of the same puzzle. From a sales point of view, we need to focus more on the higher level segments, gain the major key accounts, and let this snow ball grow!!”
Education and background
“A real European citizen, I was born in the Netherlands, raised in a bilingual atmosphere, and educated in Belgium and the USA. My career started in Belgium, with a Subsidiary of MCB (NL). Later, I moved to Le Mans, in France, where I started as a Sales engineer with Valeo (supplier of the automotive industry). Packaging became second nature when, in 2001, I joined Bekaert Handling (steel wire containers), and later, Plastipak LuxPet in Luxembourg (PET preform producer).”

organising the LC business at an international level. I liked the discussions with the LC people and already felt attracted to the LC culture.”
Why LC Packaging
“Early 2014, I moved away from consulting and became a CFO. I liked the switch from consulting to the ‘other side of the table’ very much and when I was approached to become CFO of LC Packaging, I felt it was a good decision, as it combined the CFO-role I liked with the LC culture I had come to appreciate already.”
Focus areas as CFO
“Unlike what people sometimes think about (ex) consultants, it was not my intention to join LC and start changing everything. I strongly believe in the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach. However, as LC realised an impressive growth over the recent years and the role of CFO had not been filled before I joined, there are definitely areas that may need some more attention. Areas like managing working capital, managing our relationships with the banks, aligning the financial group reporting, international transfer pricing issues, addressing risks in the payment area, speeding up the closing process, managing credit limits, for example.”
Education and background
“After University, I started at the audit firm Coopers & Lybrand/ PricewaterhouseCoopers to become a Certified Public Accountant. Eventually I moved from auditing to consulting and worked as a management consultant, mainly active in the area of strategy and organisational structure.”
Connection with LC Packaging
“As a management consultant, I was asked to prepare and deliver a presentation at the LC Packaging 2013 management meeting in Rotterdam, regarding growth and how that could be achieved. Following that presentation, I was engaged by the board to support the country managers in creating a growth plan for their own country. In that way, I learned a bit about the LC product portfolio, the LC countries and the LC way-of-working. Later on I also met with LC International to discuss possible ways of
