LC Packaging West Africa joins Impact Cluster ‘CocoaTech D’Ivoire’
LC Packaging West Africa has joined the Impact Cluster ‘CocoaTech D’Ivoire’, an initiative of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. The objective of this five-year project is to strengthen the commercial positioning of its participants as leading suppliers of innovative and integrated solutions for stakeholders in the cocoa value chain in Côte d’Ivoire. In parallel, the project contributes to improving the capabilities of stakeholders in the cocoa sector in Cote d’Ivoire by transferring knowhow and demonstrating best practices.
Training programme: Energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction
With support of the FMO (Dutch Development Bank), Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd., LC Packaging’s FIBC production facility in Bangladesh, has launched a training programme focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the utilisation of renewable energy. The programme includes 30 participants: five employees and 25 members of the local community, and aims to educate about the significance of energy efficiency and CO2 reduction.
Through the programme, participants are empowered with practical knowledge and skills to implement energy efficiency measures into their daily lives and within their organisations. After finishing the programme, participants are equipped with skills that enable them to start (or continue) working in the renewable energy sector and support the energy transition.
