We always try to find a harmonious balance between pushing boundaries, being innovative and sustainability.

That is why we keep focusing on how innovation and sustainability can go hand-in-hand. This year we’ve focused on several initiatives that contribute to our purpose of contributing to a world without waste, such as recycled Big Bags, biodiesel and foldable bags.

Closing the loop with Big Bags made from Big Bags

LC Packaging, PET Recycling Team, Starlinger, and Velebit Recycling collaborated to establish a closed-loop solution for recycling Big Bags. The initiative involves recycling used Big Bags into new ones, utilising Post-Consumer recycled Polypropylene (PCR-rPP) granulate. This circular approach reduces waste, saves resources, and lowers CO2 emissions.

Foldable parcel bag by LC Packaging UK

In the past ten years, the number of parcels shipped has grown exponentially in many countries. To accommodate this growth, innovative transport solutions for these parcels are being developed in the market. With its new foldable transport bag, LC Packaging UK has responded to this trend. When not in use, the bag folds up, optimising storage space. An ideal solution for businesses looking to refine their logistics operations, save space, and have durable and reusable packaging.

Digital printing on cardboard boxes

For smaller order volumes, the setup costs for printing cardboard boxes are often a barrier. In these cases, digital printing is the perfect solution. This also means that customers don’t have to commit to just one print design. With digital printing, we can print up to five designs for one box model! It also allows us to print with much more detail. Digital printing can be used for cardboard boxes with a wide variety of types, sizes and cuts.

Our packaging travels in style

During the summer of 2023, two new LC Packaging trucks hit the road. These trucks are fully equipped to run on HVO100 fuel. HVO100 fuel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil Fuel) is derived from 100% renewable resources and is free from any fossil fuels. It is produced from sustainably sourced vegetable and animal matter to ensure minimal environmental impact. By making these preparations and transitioning to HVO100 fuel, we can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% compared to traditional diesel, helping us in achieving our 2030 Ambition.
