Employee’s Children Scholarship Programme

In line with its commitment to education (SDG 4) and to reduce financial barriers, Dutch-Bangla Pack Limited, our own production facility for FIBCs, introduced the Employee’s Children Scholarship Programme in September 2023. This programme aims to support employees’ children in their education by offering financial aid to foster academic and extracurricular potential. This way, the scholarship motivates parents to keep their children in school and prevents early dropouts. Our contribution to this programme is an initiative of the LC Supports Foundation, founded in 2016.

Leadership programme

LC is ready for the future, which starts with great leadership. In May, the second cohort of aspiring leaders started our LC Leadership Programme, delving into leading business, leading teams, leading change, and leading self. Twelve driven, aspiring leaders from different affiliates travelled to South Africa to understand the insights from Nelson Mandela’s leadership legacy. They explored strategies, organisational dynamics, and finance while participating in online modules and workshops on supply chain management and innovation. Every participant had the opportunity to discuss leadership with a mentor from within the organisation, and had coaching sessions to discuss their learning objectives.

Since this programme, three participants have already ascended into new roles within LC Packaging. A testament to the programme’s efficacy!

Growing within LC

Since joining LC Packaging France as International Key Account Inside Sales in 2015, transitioning to Team Lead Inside Sales FIBC in 2017, and becoming LC France's Country Manager in January 2024, Marianne Inguanta’s journey has been one of continuous learning. “The support of my colleagues and LC's affiliates really meant a great deal for my growth, with our collective commitment to success!”

Growing within the company is a vital focus point at LC Packaging, as having the 'Best People' is one of our 8 strengths. Marianne: “When working at LC Packaging, seize training opportunities, speak up, and nurture proactive engagement. LC Packaging is a place where ideas are being heard!”

Once every three years, the LC Packaging team travels to Dusseldorf (Germany) to build customer relationships during interpack. At our booth, we showcased an FIBC that is made of 50% Post-Consumer rPP material and our Modified Atmosphere Packaging Solution for FIBCs. We also presented on the topics of FIBC Reuse and Reconditioning, as well as Circular FIBC Solutions, and we demonstrated our Carbon Footprint Calculator for FIBCs during meetings. During the year, we participated in trade fairs in other countries as well, such as Empack in Sweden, SARA in Côte d’Ivoire and several exhibitions in Hungary.

With over 1500 colleagues working at and for LC worldwide, we aim to have the best people.

We focus on the development of our colleagues, by providing them with educational programmes, (internal) courses and training possibilities. This way our colleagues can expand their knowledge, develop in their current jobs, and grow into a new position.

Flow Survey Results

The Flame, Flow, Flood theory focuses on how igniting and spreading enthusiasm leads to positive outcomes. This is where inspiration (flame) and working together (flow), creates happy customers and colleagues (flood).

We therefore conduct an anonymous survey for our colleagues twice a year to measure the level of flow. The outcome not only provides us with improvements for our employership, but also helps our colleagues to create their own great place to work.
