We have expanded our production capacity with a newly built production facility for LC Shankar in South Africa and new machinery has been installed at Pacapime in both Belgium and Hungary. Additionally, LC Ireland invested in new printing machinery and Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd took further steps to improve the wellbeing of its employees.
LC Shankar moves into new production facility
LC Packaging’s FIBC production facility LC Shankar has officially moved its production to a custom-built production and distribution facility in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. With 10,000 m2 the new facility is more than twice the size of our previous production facility, showcasing the immense growth of LC Shankar. The new facility is part of a long-term strategy aimed at further expansion, increased output, and reverse integration. The factory has been designed in an ecofriendly manner with food safe amenities.
LC Packaging Ireland upgrades printing machinery
LC Packaging Ireland invested in new printing machinery for printing WPP bags and Jute bags. The new printing machines, produced in the Netherlands, print high-quality designs with up to four colours and various patterns. They are also safer to work with and use less energy. With this new edition, we can print up to 60,000 bags per day for next day delivery. A service we strongly believe in at LC!
Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd introduces financial wellness platform
Our FIBC production facility Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd (DBPL) is introducing Wagely, an online platform that will further help DBPL employees to manage their finances in a healthy, sustainable manner. Wagely's financial wellness platform is centered around Earned Wage Access (EWA): the direct and affordable access to the salary that has already been worked for. This means that employees can get paid on any day of the month and have real-time insights into their finances, motivating them to make responsible financial decisions.
Pacapime installs new high-quality and energy-efficient machinery
Pacapime is taking the next step in efficient and more sustainable manufacturing by investing in new BHS machinery that makes corrugated cardboard. The machinery is replacing existing models and will increase production efficiency by 30%. The user-friendly machinery includes automatic quality control and is estimated to have an output of 400m corrugated board per minute. With a width of 2.80m, this means that Pacapime is able to produce 1,120m2 of corrugated board per minute. A fantastic development.
