Partnerships give us and our customers many benefits. They also mean mutual responsibilities. In 2022 we focused on innovation with our long-term Partners and founded new partnerships to add value socially and environmentally.

Onions (and their packaging) against plastic soup
Together with LC Packaging customer M.B. Nieuwenhuijse B.V., we have partnered with Plastic Bank® to help turn the tide on ocean plastic to secure a sustainable future for generations to come. Between March 2022 and March 2023, LC Packaging and M.B. Nieuwenhuijse have helped to prevent 50,000 kgs of plastic from entering the ocean, while improving lives in collaboration with Plastic Bank. The offsetting initiative collects plastics from the ocean and reprocesses the materials for reintroduction into the global supply chain.
Hagens Verpakkingen and FruitMasters enter strategic partnership
Hagens Verpakkingen (member of LC Packaging) has taken over DS Smith’s box erecting activities for FruitMasters, the largest fruit cooperative in the Netherlands, in Geldermalsen. The new location provides the necessary box erecting capacity to be able to properly serve the center and north of the Netherlands, a significant geographical expansion for both Hagens Verpakkingen and LC Packaging. In addition to FruitMasters, other parties can also use this box erecting facility.

LC Packaging Joins Plastic Pact NL
At LC Packaging, we want to do more with less plastic. That is why we have joined Plastic Pact NL, committing to help accelerate the transition to a Circular Economy. We have joined Plastic Pact NL as a statement of our own ambitions to address these challenges, as well as recognising that collaboration with others throughout the value chain is required to make the Circular Economy work.
LC Packaging UK member of Textile Recycling Association
LC Packaging UK is now officially a member of the Textile Recycling Association, which represents UK collectors, sorters, processors, and exporters of used clothing and textiles. The objectives of the TRA align with our own sustainability goals. By promoting textile recycling of second-hand clothing and shoes, we can hopefully significantly decrease textile waste and get one step closer to a world without waste.
LC Packaging strengthens The BICEPS Network
LC Packaging International is joining forces to accelerate the transition in the global shipping sector towards more sustainability by becoming a member of The BICEPS Network. The BICEPS Network is a demand-driven global network that drives sustainable change in the shipping sector through the collaboration of shippers. By establishing a global network with sufficient volume in the market, it can exert influence and drive change.
