Sustainable FIBC Virtual Conference 2022
The need for joining forces on the topic of circular packaging is higher than ever before. That is why, next to LC Packaging experts, external professionals joined our second Sustainable FIBC Virtual Conference. Together, they discussed LC Packaging’s new 2030 Ambition, the transforming financial landscape, the road to implementing circularity (an example from the IBC industry), and circular FIBC solutions.
GHG Inventory 2021: Our impact on climate change
To find out the exact impact of our operations on climate change, we calculated all emissions related to our operations in 2021. This Greenhouse Gas Inventory (GHG) report is part of our ambition to reduce the emissions in our value chain with 50% by 2030, in line with a 1.5°C pathway. The report presents the GHG Inventory (scope 1, 2, 3) in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for base year 2021.
Our goal is to provide sustainable packaging solutions while considering people and planet. Sustainability is about endurance.
Something we embrace, being almost 100 years old. Together with our partners, our customers, and our colleagues we aim to leave a better world for future generations to enjoy. In 2022, we launched our new sustainability strategy LC Packaging 2030 Ambition and made further commitments, with our colleagues and with our Partners, for a sustainable future.

LC Packaging launches 2030 Ambition
To truly make an impact and make the world a better place for future generations to enjoy, we decided to bring sustainability into our core business and move from compliance to purpose. We believe in a future where sustainability is just as important and self-evident as quality and price. Therefore, we have made it our mission to become a leader in sustainable packaging and contribute to a world without waste. We have set ourselves three ambitious goals for 2030, set out in our 2030 Ambition.

Green Office Campaign
In 2020 we launched our Green Office Campaign with the ultimate goal to reduce our joint consumption of water, waste, energy and CO2. LC Packaging offices, warehouses, and production facilities participated in the campaign, and each received their own ambitious targets, tailor-made to their situation. Two years later, many goals have been met and four locations reached all their goals. By doing so, they have not only minimised LC’s impact on the environment, they have also been rewarded €5,000 to donate to their local charities. The money was donated to local foodbanks and community projects.
