LC Packaging acquires Karl Weiterer GmbH
In 2022, we officially acquired all shares in Karl Weiterer Sack- und Planenfabrik GmbH (Weiterer) in Algermissen, Germany. The acquisition follows a partnership of over 50 years between both family businesses. Weiterer focuses on servicing the agricultural sector in Germany with transport packaging solutions like net bags, jute bags and FIBCs, and has been doing so for 104 years. Weiterer will become a subsidiary of LC Packaging GmbH, the German affiliate of LC Packaging located in Rheine, but will continue to operate under its existing name.
Warehouse expansion LC Packaging Belgium
LC Packaging Belgium has added an 1,800 m2 warehouse to its existing office and warehouse in Sint-Katelijne-Waver. The extra room is used to house cardboard sheets, among others, and contains a new sanitary block with changing room, showers and a refectory. This frees up space in the current building, which will undergo a renovation in the upcoming year to make more room for our cardboard erecting station.
New office location for LC Packaging Nordic
After years of promising growth for one of our youngest affiliates, the LC Nordic team had outgrown its previous offices. The new location caters to future growth and offers the opportunity for sustainable office initiatives. Currently, the office already runs on renewable energy and has a waste recycling system in place. As of 1 October 2022, the team can be found on the following location: Krossverksgatan 9B, 216 16 in Limhamn, Sweden.
