LC Shankar future-proof: Phase one completed
LC Packaging's FIBC production facility LC Shankar has recently moved to a custom-built production and distribution facility in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. LC Shankar has grown immensely over the past five years and needed more space for its increased production as well as increased amounts of raw material and finished goods. The new facility has 10,000 sqm under roof and is part of a long-term strategy aimed at further expansion, increased output, and reverse integration. The factory has been designed in an ecofriendly manner with food safe amenities.
Our production facilities continuously develop and invest, just like our dedicated Production Partners.
We have expanded our production capacity with newly built production facilities that offer high-quality jobs for the local communities and high-quality packaging for our customers. Existing facilities were upgraded with new machinery for faster and more accurate production processes or moved to a new location for more space.
New corrugated board machinery for Pacapime
Pacapime continues to invest to supply the growing demand in cardboard packaging and to keep its production facility up to date. New corrugator machinery has been installed at Pacapime Belgium for the production of corrugated board. The user-friendly machinery is expected to increase production efficiency by approximately 30%.
New location for reuse and recycling service WorldBag
Our FIBC reconditioning and recycling service WorldBag has moved its production to Nieuwerkerk a/d Ijssel, the Netherlands. This new, central location is closer to LC Packaging’s head office, offers more space for the safe separation of product groups and yields opportunities for expansion. The 2,500 sqm production facility houses machinery for cleaning big bags for the purpose of re-use and allows room for the storage and preparation of bags for recycling when their lifecycle has been completed.
LC France and LC UK update warehouse machinery
LC Packaging France and LC Packaging UK have made some big investments for new machinery, upgrading their facilities significantly. New printers were installed to deliver even higher quality prints on bags and the installation of automatic bag turners will help speed up the printing process. The new machinery also offers the possibility to use water-based ink, which will be more beneficial to the environment and help further decrease LC Packaging’s environmental footprint. With the upgrade, we can offer customers an enhanced local source of high-quality printing with faster lead times.
Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd. opens third production facility
LC Packaging’s production facility Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd. (DBPL) has completed the build of a third expansion on its factory premises. The new facility is built on top of the existing factory and will increase production with approximately 1 million FIBCs (big bags) per year, bringing the total outcome to well over 3.2 million FIBCs. The new facility of 4,000 sqm has world class facilities, including a state-of-the-art clean room environment, ensuring that all pollutants are filtered out, so the DBPL facility meets the highest standards required to produce FIBCs.
