FMO – the Dutch Development Bank – decided to fund our Capacity Development Project in Bangladesh, including a twofold environmental footprint research, the realisation of our recycling unit and an extensive waste reduction project. This project is in line with FMO’s strategy, as LC Packaging has a strong focus on sustainable business and sustainable production. The Capacity Development Project started in 2017 and will be completed in 2018.

When it comes to working conditions and human rights, Bangladesh unfortunately has a poor reputation. Together with the Dutch Embassy to Bangladesh and for example CSR Netherlands and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, we aim to show that there are also honest companies in Bangladesh, producing high quality products, while offering their employees good working conditions and wages. For a country like Bangladesh and its economy, it is vital to keep and increase trade relationships with Western Countries.

LC Packaging proudly announces its latest innovation in collaboration with Eqraft, a developer of packaging solutions: the baxmatic bag laser printer and laser printable bags. Customers experienced challenges during the process of packing bags. Therefore, together with Eqraft, we have developed a new labelling system, which engraves images or text directly on bags with lasers. This prevents many unnecessary delays and decreases costs. Moreover, the new system is a sustainable solution, since there is less waste of materials.
